Playing With Purpose
Playing with Purpose was founded by combining two great passions: Love of sports and a desire to do good, give back and support the local communities in which we play. To date, the Play Sports Community and Playing with Purpose have donated over $45,000 to local and national charities that have meaning to our players and their families.
Each league that the Play Sports Community hosts has a charity element built-in. At the conclusion of each league, the championship team selects a charity in which Playing with Purpose makes a donation. Each championship is celebrated with Play Sports Champ "swag" and a team picture with the "PLAYING WITH PURPOSE BIG CHECK" front and center.
Partnering with Eric LeGrand, Team LeGrand and the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation to produce annual Eric LeGrand Flag Football & Cornhole Tournaments is another way Playing with Purpose is getting involved in the community. Each year is an absolute pleasure working with Eric and team to host bigger and better events.
In an effort to diversify Playing with Purpose charitable receivables, PWP has been exploring online selling platforms. This allows for non-monetary contributions to the cause. Items acceptable for donation: Clothes with Tags, Complete Board Games (preferably sealed), Electronics, Shoes/Sneakers/Books - Lightly Worn, Sporting Equipment, Tools & Video Game Consoles and Games - Have something you think we might be interested in?
